Kacey Musgraves Releases Official Music Video for New Single, ‘Deeper Well'

Kacey Musgraves has released the official music video for her brand new single, ‘Deeper Well’, which serves as the title-track from her eagerly awaited 2024 album.

The project is set to drop on March 15th 2024, with Kacey having teased the record during an atmospheric commercial which aired during the Grammys ceremony last weekend.

The spiritually-inspired track and visuals find Kacey Musgraves looking inward, as she explains how she's been working hard to develop healthier habits and a more positive mindset.

The ’Deeper Well’ video opens on Kacey Musgraves lying naked in the grass, before she wanders across windy, weather-beaten cliffs. The serene, bucolic imagery seemingly symbolises the singer-songwriter return to a simpler, more peaceful way of life.

After walking with sheep, horses and other animals, the surrounding landscape begins to take on a psychedelic ambience, with craggy rocks emerging out of the dramatic terrain.

The cinematic video concludes with a lustrous ball of light descending towards Kacey Musgraves, with the ‘I Remember Everything’ hitmaker welcoming it with both hands.

As she reaches for the sphere, which perhaps represents the attainment of a higher state of being, Kacey's entire silhouette begins to glow as she spreads out her arms on the cliff's edge.

Sonically, ‘Deeper Well’ aligns perfectly with the blissful, introspective nature of the lyrics, with Kacey's enchanting, layered vocals coasting gently across the intricate guitar riff.

It's safe to say the new song and video has whetted listeners’ appetites for the upcoming project, which will be Kacey Musgraves’ first full-length record since 2021's star-crossed.
