Kacey Musgraves has confirmed plans to release a new deluxe version of her 2024 album, Deeper Well, with the surprise project due to arrive on streaming platforms on August 2.
To celebrate the unveiling of the deluxe record, Kacey Musgraves has excitingly announced that she'll be dropping a brand new single, ‘Irish Goodbye’, tomorrow (Friday, July 26).
The ‘Dinner with Friends’ singer-songwriter performed the track during the second night of her Dublin run of shows earlier in the year, as part of her popular Deeper Well world tour.
The full tracklist will feature an additional seven songs on top of the 14 original offerings. These songs are 'Ruthless,' 'Little Sister,' 'Flower Child,' 'Arm’s Length' and the already released 'Irish Goodbye.'
Plus two duets, 'Superbloom' featuring Leon Bridges and 'Perfection' featuring Holler 10 Artists You Need To Know alumni Tiny Habits.
Deeper Well was celebrated for the more stripped-back, intimate songwriting approach that Kacey Musgraves decided to take, with the title-track, ‘Too Good to Be True’ and ‘The Architect’ in particular being lauded for their intricacy and vulnerability. It'll be interesting to see whether Kacey maintains this style for the deluxe, or whether she chooses to keep fans on their toes with a sonic volte-face.
The Texas chart-topper is currently in the middle of a brief hiatus away from her tour, with Kacey Musgraves due to hit the road again in early September for the keenly awaited Fall leg.
The ‘High Horse’ hitmaker has dates lined up in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Michigan and more, with ticket-holders undoubtedly hoping she debuts some of the tracks from Deeper into the Well during this forthcoming series of tour-stops.
