One of the leaders of the neotraditional movement sweeping the country genre in recent years, Jake Worthington, has made a little jump over to his new label home at Big Loud Texas.

Co-founded by his most recent duet partner and country juggernaut, Miranda Lambert, Worthington becomes the second official signing for the imprint, which is housed under the Big Loud Records umbrella.

While Worthington was already a proud member of the mother company's growing and compelling roster of proven hitmakers and vibrant up-and-comers, this shift will see the Texas native being directly mentored by Lambert and frequent collaborator and co-founder, Jon Randall, as they look to bolster the smorgasbord of talent in the Lone Star State and perpetuate the outlaw subgenre.

“Our sole job is to keep the outlaw movement going and to keep the great stuff from the great state of Texas out there for the people," Lambert explained during her recent Music for Mutts benefit show in Nashville, which Worthington served as the opener of. "As of last week, we got one of my favorite artists of all time on our label. I want y'all to welcome back to the stage my friend Jake Worthington... He is country as a biscuit, and I love it!”

“I've been both Big Loud and Texas through and true for a while now, so it sure feels good to make it official like this,” Worthington added with glee.

The pair of Texas talents have already joined forces once in their blossoming relationship with their newly-released duet, 'Hello Shitty Day.'

Chronicling the all too relatable feeling of accepting the lows and embracing the less than wonderful moments in life, the pair's harmonies spin and dip in perfect time around a dusty ballroom floor as they assess their run of bad luck.

Joining fellow Big Loud Texas signee Dylan Gossett, Worthington is busy putting the finishing touches on his sophomore record, which is expected to arrive early next year.

"We've got the second one about done, and I'm proud to say that we're only going deeper into the roots of my upbringing and musically, which I’m excited for," the singer-songwriter shared with Holler. "I love country music. I only want to continue to make records that, whenever you listen to them, that's what you say it sounds like."
