“Interesting Song Choice”: Fans Think Megan Moroney's Best Friend Just Dropped a Hint About the Morgan Wallen ‘TN’ Rumours

As the rumours continue to swirl around Morgan Wallen's new song, ‘TN’, fans think Megan Moroney's best friend, Natalie King, has given us a hint about the home-state-inspired track.

When Wallen released ‘TN’ as part of his chart-topping fourth studio album, I'm the Problem, listeners immediately started speculating that it had been penned about Moroney.

Fans drew similarities between lyrics in ‘TN’ and those in Megan Moroney's break-out single, ‘Tennessee Orange’, which she has confirmed was inspired by a Volunteers jersey Wallen gave her. We previously collated all the potential easter eggs and veiled clues in ‘TN’ that fans have latched onto, with some believing there to be a host of subtle nods to Moroney's music, such as ‘Sad Songs for Sad People’.

Of course, it's worth emphasising that Morgan Wallen has never said any of his songs were written about Megan Moroney, and vice versa. Nonetheless, some TikTok users think that Moroney's long-time best friend, Natalie King - who she heartwarmingly dedicates ’Wonder’ to during her shows - may have just spilled some proverbial tea.

Natalie King has shared a simple TikTok video expressing how she was feeling “exhausted” from CMA Fest - but it's the song that she has used as the soundtrack that has fans getting excited. In the clip, Morgan Wallen's ‘TN’ plays in the background.

This could be nothing more than an homage to a popular song that is indeed going very viral on TikTok, but a host of followers seem to think King is making a reference to the links being drawn between Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen's ‘TN’.

Fans have been taking to the comments on Natalie King's post to hint at their theories, with one sharing, “song is teaaaaa”, while another teased, “Interesting song choice”.

Other seemingly pointed comments on King's video include, “Love the fit and the song choice 🤭”, “Omg so cute! Not Natalie dropping hints 🤭” and “This song is everything!”

As we said, it could simply be King using a song that's having a big moment on TikTok, rather than this having any deeper meaning related to Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen.

Many fans are doing their best to keep the Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney narrative alive, while others have moved onto to another country fan-theory, which is that Moroney is dating Riley Green. Moroney implied on Call Her Daddy that she was romantically involved with Wallen, but stressed “it was never a relationship”. It seems this is in the past, with Moroney claiming they're now good friends.

Either way, we're just excited that Megan Moroney is readying new music, with the Georgia native teasing a stellar unreleased track, ‘Six Months Later’, which we think might be able to become our next summer anthem. Moroney has suggested it will be dropping before June 28th, and our money is on a June 20th drop date.
