After videos circulated online of Bailey Zimmerman's drunken set at Crash My Playa 2025, the ‘Holy Smokes’ crooner has taken to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology.
Zimmerman was hosting one of the famous Crash My Playa pool parties, but due to his apparently inebriated state, he fell over on-stage and stumbled his way through the setlist.
However, anyone who has seen a Bailey Zimmerman show knows the ‘Religiously’ hitmaker usually gives his all throughout his performance, bringing his signature energising sense of charisma to every song and showcasing his captivating live vibrato.
It seems he just had an off-day at Crash My Playa, and fans will surely respect Zimmerman for not shying away from that mistake and delivering this sincere message to attendees.
Via a socials video, the Illinois prodigy explained, “I was always raised up to hit my problems head-on, and never to lie, and always be truthful and honest, even when you’re embarrassed. So I’d like to talk about something that’s been eating me alive”.
Bailey Zimmerman went on to recall, “Last weekend, down in Cancun, Mexico, I’m sure everybody’s seen the videos of me playing absolutely awful, and singing absolutely awful - and I feel like you guys deserve an explanation from me, because you’ve had my back through the highs and lows, and through every mistake”.
Zimmerman reflected on what went wrong, “What happened was, I decided to drink that day, which was a mistake, and I got up onstage and I was too drunk to play - and I sang awful, I played awful, nobody got the show that they wanted or paid for, and I’m disappointed in myself. If you’ve been to my shows, you know how much I’ve talked about God since Day One, and it was an awful representation of that...To anybody, like I said, that’s embarrassed of me, I’m there. I’m embarrassed as well, and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that this never happens ever again. I want to show you guys the person that I truly am”.
The ‘Fall in Love’ chart-topper concluded by requesting compassion from fans, “I’m just asking for a little bit of grace. Man, growing up is interesting. It’s not an excuse, but man, thank you to everybody that’s got my back. Thank you for staying, thank you for showing me love and grace, and we’re gonna crush this year. But yeah, I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I freakin’ love you guys more than anything in the world and I don’t want to lose you. Forgive me and I love you. Thank you for listening”.
Bailey Zimmerman has a sprawling array of shows lined up this year, with dates on the books in Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado and more as part of his 2025 New to Country tour, featuring Dylan Marlowe and Drew Baldridge as support.
