Luke Combs has unveiled his new collaboration with Columbia, with the North Carolina native teaming up with the outdoor performance brand for a special turkey hunting gear range.
The collection, which features the signature Mossy Oak camouflage print, has been intricately crafted by Luke Combs and the Columbia team over the course of the past three years.
In a promotional video accompanying the release, which is available via the official Columbia online store, the ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ chart-topper has explained how much time and effort has gone into the development of this new hunting gear.
Luke Combs reflected on where his deep-seated love for being in the great outdoors stemmed from, “My job is so...there's a just a lot of stimulation in what I do all the time. There's not necessarily a lot of that stimulation out here [in the woods]”.
The country titan went on, “When I moved to Nashville, I didn't really hunt at all. I fell in love with it that first weekend that I went...This vest has been, at this point, a three-year process of hunting and going back and forth, trying different things, different fabrics, experimenting with the way the pockets are and the orientation of zippers. The attention to detail is so important on something like this”.
Luke Combs concluded by expressing his delight with the feel of the finished products, “It's been three seasons of thought put in this, and I'm ecstatic with how it turned out”.
The Luke Combs PHG Collection features a turkey hunting vest, a tech camo hoodie, pants, cap and more, with Combs modelling a number of items during the promotional shoot.
Luke Combs has enjoyed close ties with Columbia since the beginning of his career, with the ‘Hurricane’ crooner usually donning his now-signature Columbia cap and shirt while delivering his raucous, high-energy live shows across the globe.
Combs recently wrapped his popular New Zealand and Australia leg, with the ‘When It Rains It Pours’ hitmaker continuing to share unreleased music ahead of his new album.
The project is yet to be given a release date, but Combs’ Fathers & Sons follow-up is expected to feature the recently teased ‘Wish Upon a Whiskey’, ‘Ain't No Cowboy’ and more.
