It was quite the time in Nashville last night.
Post Malone held a special concert at Marathon Music Works in Nashville on Tuesday (July 16), with the 'I Had Some Help' singer bringing out a wealth of special guests to join him on stage.
One such guest was country rock's latest flagbearer, HARDY. The pals debuted what is seemingly an unreleased duet from Malone's forthcoming debut country album F-1 Trillion, entitled 'Would You Hide My Gun'.
Performing the fiddle-led, southern rock ballad from a stool, Malone, bedecked in a blue checkered shirt, camo trucker and smoking, took on the first verse, asking his love if they would love them and give up everything for them, even at their worst.
Tackling the second part and harmonising with Malone on the chorus, the song feels right in HARDY's wheelhouse, a dangerous yet emotionally weary love song at sunset that hits right in the feels.
It sounds particularly pleasing live, the duo backed by a large live band enriching the song with mournful fiddle and bright, 70s FM-esque electric guitar.
The pair couldn't perform together without also paying tribute to one of their icons. Performing 'Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die)' Malone and Hardy covered their hero Joe Diffie, the legend whose tribute album they contributed to as part of Hixtape Vol.3: Difftape.
Posty brought out several other surprise names for his special Nashville show, an event sponsored by Bud Light.
Sierra Ferrell joined Malone to perform what is expected to be their duet from F-1 Trillion, the waltzy ballad 'Never Love You Again', as well as a cover of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash's staple, 'Jackson'.
Alongside her, Blake Shelton join Posty for a rendition of his timeless hit 'Some Beach', as well as their smash hit, 'Pour Me A Drink'.
