Gavin Adcock has unveiled his new album, Country Never Dies, with the ’Need To’ hitmaker confirming he's dropping the lead single from the project this Friday (February 27th).
Adcock is releasing a cover of Waylon Jennings’ 1968 classic, ‘The Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line’. Earlier in the week, he teased that this will be a collaboration with a surprising artist, but the country prodigy is yet to reveal who the featured artist is.
Interestingly, both Hudson Westbrook and Austin Snell have shared Adcock's new album post, which has us assuming both of these artists are appearing on the forthcoming record.
We'd initially speculated that Adcock might have a collaboration with Texas rapper, That Mexican OT - who has previously expressed an interest in working with the ’Perfect Man’ singer-songwriter - or Dasha on the way. Adcock and Dasha are credited as writers on an unreleased track on ASCAP, titled ‘Like It Never Happened’.
It's also not yet clear whether Country Never Dies is set to be a collaborative project, or perhaps even an album of classic covers, based on Adcock's new Waylon offering. Either way, Adcock's latest releases have been generally well-received, and the excitement is through the roof ahead of Adcock's Own Worst Enemy follow-up.
