The first-ever Palomino Festival is set to take place this summer in California.

Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadors and Willie Nelson will all perform at a new one-day California country music festival.

The Palomino Festival takes place on Saturday, July 9, at the Brookside grounds at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Tickets go on sale 1 April.

The line-up is an absolute treat for Holler readers! Orville Peck, Charley Crockett, Sierra Ferrell, Amythyst Kiah, Paul Cauthen, Nikki Lane, Morgan Wade, Jaime Wyatt, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Valerie June are all on the bill, alongside Langhorne Slim, Low Cut Connie, Ian Noe, Logan Ledger and a special appearance from The Compton Cowboys.

The Palomino Festival is presented by Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella and the three-day country music festival Stagecoach.

"Palomino Festival is a unique addition to an already eclectic collection of Southern California festivals from Goldenvoice," Says head Goldenvoice talent buyer Stacy Vee "An experience like no other bringing together newcomers and legends alike, Palomino Festival will appeal to long-time country fans, brand new Americana lovers, and everyone in between.

The musicians playing Palomino Festival are troubadours, trailblazers, and outlaws, from artists like Willie Nelson to Orville Peck to Nikki Lane redefining how country music can look and sound".

“It has been a dream for as long as I can remember to do a festival taking a modern, fresh approach to today’s alt-country music. Artists in the space have been pushing boundaries, creating sounds that are brand new.

I wanted to fan these flames and celebrate this changing culture. We at Goldenvoice love doing things ‘our own way,’ and there are a lot of artists out there right now doing the same thing.

We came together to celebrate carving your own path: this is Palomino.”
