Country collabs don’t come hotter than this. Kansas-born country artist Logan Mize gets together with Jessie James Decker to share their smouldering late-night love duet ‘If You’re Up’ and give us the first taste of what’s to come from him in 2024.
Following last year’s Bloodline album and the six song EP he put out with his wife and fellow country artist Jill Martin as The Mizes, Logan Mize gets straight back to it in 2024 collaborating with singer, songwriter, TV personality, fashion designer, and New York Times best-selling book author Jessie James Decker, whose ‘I’m Gonna Love You’ and ‘(Can’t Do) Life Without You’ singles from last year have got us holding out hopefully for a full album from the Nashville star this year.
"I loved this song for quite some time and wanted to take a shot at recording it,” Logan Mize told us. “When I mentioned it to my producer, Dan Agee he said he was aware of the song because Jessie had brought it to him earlier but neither of us had landed on a duet partner. I've always thought Jessie was a badass so that kind of made it a done deal on landing a duet partner. The writer's on this song are top tier including our late pal Abe Stoklasa who wrote my breakthrough single ‘Better Off Gone’.”
“I have always been such a fan of Logan’s voice and as soon as I heard this demo - written by some of my favorite writers - I knew it was a song I wanted to sing on,” Jessie James Decker add. “I couldn’t get it out of my head after one listen!”
‘If You’re Up’ is premiering exclusively on Holler below.
‘If You’re Up’ by Logan Mize and Jessie James Decker is released on January 19th.
