Shortly after dropping Flower Shops: Two Dozen Roses, Ernest treated fans to the latest instalment of his Salvage Sessions video series.

‘Unhang the Moon’, which appears on the new album, is the latest song to receive the acoustic treatment.

As is tradition for his Salvage Sessions, Ernest performs the forlorn ballad from an abandoned scrapyard, the surroundings of which add to the broken-down feel of the track.

The song, which was released in December, details a man's struggle to extinguish the memory of his ex.

The break-up is intensified by the fact that her shadow seems to follow him everywhere he goes in town.

‘Unhang the Moon’ has been championed as one of the many highlights on Ernest's Two Dozen Roses, with the new project leaning into the Nashvillian's penchant for a traditional, 90s-country sound.

Epitomising this is ‘What Have I Got To Lose’, featuring Dean Dillon, and the Jake Worthington-assisted ‘Heartache In My 100 Proof’.

After he released the album, Ernest took to Instagram to reveal that the transition between those two songs is his favourite sequence on the project.

Following his new Salvage Sessions video, fans will be clamouring for ‘Heartache In My 100 Proof’ and other songs from Two Dozen Roses to be given an acoustic revamp too.
