Morgan Wallen’s inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama brought fans a full weekend of sun, sand and standout performances, including two surprise appearances during Wallen’s headlining set on Sunday that had the crowd buzzing.
Midway through the show, longtime collaborator ERNEST hit the stage to perform their fan-favorite hit 'Cowgirls.'
The pair’s energy and chemistry on stage turned the performance into a full-blown party, which echoed the success of their earlier team-up at London’s BST Hyde park back in 2024. The track’s blend of country yet hip-hop flare had the crowd singing every word.
Later in the set, Wallen shocked his fans yet again by welcoming Bailey Zimmerman to the stage for a surprise rendition of 'Up Down,' Wallen’s breakout anthem that originally features Florida Georgia Line.
Zimmerman’s gravelly vocals gave the song a fresh twist, adding a sort of youthful edge to an arguable classic country party track.
The back-to-back surprise guest moments truly underscored the collaborative spirit of Wallen’s discography and gave fans exactly what they came for–an unforgettable, sand in their boots kind of concert on the Gulf Coast shore.
