After mysteriously omitting the song from her solo set earlier in the day, Ella Langley delighted fans by joining Riley Green on the Great Oak Stage at BST Hyde Park to perform their viral collaboration, the traditional-leaning ‘You Look Like You Love Me’.
The infectious single, which features spoken-word verses from Ella Langley and Riley Green in the style of a classic country duet, appears on Ella's forthcoming album, hungover. The project is set to arrive on streaming platforms on August 2nd, and will also include previously released fan-favourites such as ‘nicotine’.
Ella Langley had been teasing ‘You Look Like You Love’ for weeks prior to releasing it in June, with fans clamouring for the playful, tongue-in-cheek track to be made available. It's now shaping up to be one of the biggest tracks in Ella's burgeoning career.
Riley Green and Ella Langley's live rendition of the duet at BST Hyde Park 2024 in London captured the levity and twinkle with which the studio version is delivered, with Ella Langley bringing her trademark sense of swagger and charisma to the stage.
Riley Green and Ella Langley both performed with the assurance of artists that have been taking UK stages for years - despite this being both their debuts - creating a sense of warmth, ease and chemistry between the two Alabama singer-songwriters.
Elsewhere during Riley Green's early evening BST Hyde Park 2024 set, he treated the London audience to raucous renditions of down-home anthems such as ‘There Was This Girl’, ‘Half Of Me’ and ‘Damn Good Day To Leave’, before closing out his captivating set with an rowdy, crowd-pleasing cover of Alabama's ‘Dixieland Delight’.
It's safe to say, after stellar first UK sets from both Ella Langley and Riley Green ahead of Morgan Wallen's blockbuster headlining performance later that evening, we're hoping both of these Alabama country trailblazers return across The Pond before too long.
