Ella Langley will seemingly add weight to her case as one of the most exciting country prodigies, when the ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ hitmaker drops her new deluxe album, still hungover.
The project will feature four additional songs on top of the original 14, along with a track titled ‘monologue’, which is expected to be a spoken-word conclusion to this chapter of music.
The Alabama singer-songwriter confirmed the news in a social media post today (Monday, September 30th), in tandem with a teaser video, in which Ella Langley argues with an ex. The tense visuals are interspersed by atmospheric shots of Langley smoking.
The first song from the deluxe record, ‘weren't for the wind’, will be released this Friday (October 4th), with the full project due to arrive the following month, on November 1st.
Along with ‘weren't for the wind’ and ‘monologue’, still hungover will include one of Ella Langley's signature acoustic tracks, ‘made it out of mexico’. Langley always adds two acoustic songs to her full-length albums, and fans will no doubt be glad to see she's treating them to a bonus acoustic offering as part of this new body of work.
Completing the tracklist for still hungover is ‘girl you're taking home’ and ‘20-20’, and we'll be keeping our fingers crossed we get another track prior to the November 1st release date.
Ella Langley's current Country Radio single, the viral ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ with Riley Green, is storming towards the top spot. The infectious, traditional-leaning collaboration received an extra boost earlier in September when the duo dropped a cinematic, Wild West-inspired music video for the romantic duet.
On September 6th, Ella Langley delighted listeners by teaming up with Riley Green again for ‘Don't Mind If I Do’, the title-track for his forthcoming album. The good friends are quickly establishing themselves as a modern-day George and Tammy or Johnny and June. They will be joining forces next year for Riley's 2025 Damn Country Music tour.
