Dylan Scott has released his keenly awaited new album, Easy Does It, featuring fan-favourites such as ‘What He'll Never Have’, ‘This Town's Been Too Good to Us’ and the title-track.

The project pivots around the titular theme, with the Louisiana native sharing with Apple Music, “The backbone of this whole deal is my family and my wife and my kids and my friends, and I don't let too much stuff get to my head. At this point in my career, it makes you more grateful for the wins and for what's happening, so I don't get too discouraged by things. The new album is called Easy Does It for a reason”.

Serving as Scott's third full-length album, it continues the momentum from the ‘Good Times Go by Too Fast’ hitmaker's widely lauded 2024 deluxe project, Livin’ My Best Life (Still).

Easy Does It consolidates Dylan Scott's key position in the contemporary country landscape, with Scott combining sleek, muscled-up hooks with striking emotional intricacy.

‘What He'll Never Have’ keeps the listener guessing, as Scott imagines what may happen to his family if he passed away, while the lead single, ‘I Hate Whiskey’, finds the ‘My Girl’ chart-topper crooning ruefully across a brooding, trap-infused beat.

While there are a refreshingly varied plethora of themes underpinning Easy Does It, Scott's primary role as a family-man ties together all the tracks. There is heartbreak and yearning, but the cornerstone is undoubtedly his love for his wife and children.

‘Till I Can't, I Will’ is another stand-out from the stellar new project, with Scott delivering a commanding vocal performance across a bright, energising instrumental. It extends the message of ’Twice’, as he heartwarmingly serenades his wife.

Of course, Dylan Scott also finds room to showcase his penchant for country living, epitomised by anthems such as ‘Country Till I Die’ and ‘This Town's Been Too Good to Us’.

In September, Dylan Scott embarks on his blockbuster Easy Does It tour alongside a trio of the genre's leading up-and-comers Josh Ross, George Birge and Zach John King, with Scott bringing his arsenal of earworms to Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, South Carolina and more this Fall.

Dylan Scott's new album, Easy Does It, is out now via Curb Records.
