During the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony, Paramount officially confirmed the long-rumoured Yellowstone spin-off starring Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler will be titled Dutton Ranch.

In the midst of the star-studded awards show in Los Angeles this past weekend, viewers were treated to a first look at Dutton Ranch, featuring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as two of the most beloved characters from the Yellowstone universe, Beth and Rip, as they ride peacefully along on a horse.

There had already been reports and rumblings that this project was in the works, although it was initially hinted that it would be called The Dutton Ranch, with “the” being dropped from the final name, similarly to how Luke Grimes’ forthcoming Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, has removed the “Y” from the working title.

It is widely known that Taylor Sheridan is departing Paramount after signing with NBCUniversal, but both Marshals and Dutton Ranch will still fall under the Paramount umbrella, as Sheridan's TV deal is still in effect until 2028. Sheridan's NBCUniversal movie and film deal, on the other hand, starts as early as March 2025.

Alongside Reilly and Hauser, Finn Little, who plays the couple's adopted son, Carter, is confirmed for Dutton Ranch, with the series also welcoming Ed Harris. Harris will play a “good-humored veterinarian, as well as a veteran”, Everett McKinney.

There's no official release date just yet for Dutton Ranch - unlike Marshals, which premieres on Sunday, March 1st - but the eagerly awaited series is expected to air in 2026.

Beth and Rip enjoyed the closest thing to a happy ending that was possible in Yellowstone, with the couple leaving the ranch to settle down in their own place in Dillon, Montana.

Their love story was one of the defining features on Taylor Sheridan's hit neo-Western series, and while we accept there will have to be drama and tension in the new show, we just hope they can survive whatever Sheridan throws at them this time around.
