After topping the UK chart last week, Drew Baldridge continues to make waves with the emotive ode to his wife, ‘She's Somebody's Daughter,’ which claims the top spot again on this week's UK Radio Country Airplay Chart.
Though first released in 2019, the heartfelt ballad has made history since capturing the hearts of country listeners far and wide. In addition to its now two consecutive weeks atop the UK Radio Country Airplay chart, 'She's Somebody's Daughter' has sees Baldridge as the only person in history to earn his first No. 1 on the US equivalent chart as an independent artist.
Baldridge penned the track in honor of his wife, Katherine, with the Illinois singer-songwriter crooning warmly, “She's somebody's whole world / She's somebody's baby / And if you don't treat her right / Hers won't be the only heart you're breaking.”
‘She's Somebody's Daughter’ accumulated 733,069 impressions during the frame dated September 6 - 12, up 2% from last week's total. Following at No. 2 with an impressive 638,466 impressions is Lainey Wilson's ’Hang Tight Honey.’ Completing this week's Top 5 are Jordan Davis’ ’I Ain't Sayin,’ Old Dominion's 'Coming Home' and Thomas Rhett's 'Beautiful As You.'
The biggest mover is Beyoncé breakthrough country single, ‘Texas Hold 'Em,’ which surged up a staggering 162% over the course of the week, taking it from No. 52 to just outside of the coveted Top 10.
Among the new entries to this week's Top 50 are Jackson Dean's infectious 'Real Real' (No. 28), from his just-released record, On the Back of My Dreams, as well as a self-released cover of Shaboozey's history-making 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' from Pixie Lott, who debuts at No. 40.
