Did Megan Moroney Just Tease a New Kenny Chesney Collaboration in Saint John?

As she takes some time away from the road in the US Virgin Islands, Megan Moroney has offered fans a tantalising snippet of what appears to be an unreleased track.

The ‘Indifferent’ singer-songwriter has shared a clip of her singing along to the mysterious ode alongside her friend and 2024 tour-mate, Kenny Chesney, which has led fans to speculate that this forthcoming song might be a collaboration.

Given the fact that Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney spent much of 2024 out on the road together, and shared a number of heartwarming on-stage moments, listeners have been clamouring for the duo to hit the studio together for months now.

Could this be it, at long last? It remains to be seen, but with Megan Moroney and Kenny Chesney continuing to champion one another in interviews and on social media in recent weeks, with Moroney sharing a stellar acoustic cover of Chesney's ’Knowing You’ in February, it's endearingly evident that the two artists remain good pals.

We don't know what the name of this newly unveiled track is just yet, with Megan Moroney only sharing a brief portion, during which she sings, “Five girls in the mirror / Putting make-up on”. The lyrics are up on a big screen behind Moroney and Kenny Chesney, with the duo apparently teaming up for some karaoke in St. John.

This latest clip arrives hot on the heels of Megan Moroney delivering a high-profile series of shows in Nashville and Knoxville, with the country prodigy enjoying a short stint away from the road before resuming her Am I Okay? tour this weekend in Indiana.

It's possible, of course, that Megan Moroney was simply playing some unreleased tunes for Kenny Chesney to seek his advice, before kicking off the rollout for her keenly awaited Am I Okay? follow-up album, rather than this necessarily being a duet between the duo. Moroney has been teasing new music in recent weeks, with the Georgia native sharing snippets of ‘Table For Two’ earlier in the year and debuting another unreleased track at the Bluebird Cafe last month.
