As we've learned over the years, CMA Fest is a marathon, not a sprint.
With something like a dozen or more stages scattered all across Music City and four days of basically nonstop music ringing through town, most artist's schedules feature multiple appearances in a very short amount of time.
However, one of this year's busiest artists of CMA Fest 2024 has to be viral country sensation, Dasha, who somehow balanced three major performances in about the span of 12 hours... no small feat, that.
Starting at the coveted Platform Stage at Nissan Stadium on Friday night (June 7) and a surprise pop-up at Spotify House across the river with Keith Urban, she managed to open up the Chevy Vibes stage bright and early at 10:15am on Saturday morning (June 8).
Delivering a killer rendition of her breakout hit, 'Austin,' to a wee crowd of 90,000 people, she quickly shot over to Blake Shelton's Ole Red to join Urban for another take of the song, this time mixed with Johnny Cash's classic 'Jackson.'
When the time came on Saturday morning for her own, full-length set, the expectations were as high as the energy at the Chevy Vibes stage, where a sizable audience had gathered to witness the burgeoning entertainer in action. The California native didn't disappoint as she ripped through her seven-song set, which included cuts like 'Heartbreaker, 'Ain't No Friend of Mine,' 'King of California' and more.
Taking moments to gush about the country music community and the whirlwind she's been in over the last few months, she also previewed her next release, 'Didn't I,' which is set for release in July and is equally as catchy and intoxicating as her career-defining, blockbuster hit.
When the time came for the big finale, the more than willing audience was happy to strut their stuff, breaking out into 'Austin's signature line dance as Dasha basked in the beautiful CMA Fest moment.
While it's highly unlikely that her CMA schedule is done just yet, this year's festival has marked the newest career achievement for the young artist, and cemented her name atop the new class of country artists that you should be keeping your eye on in the months and years to come.
Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde will host the CMA Fest TV Special, which will air on Tuesday, June 25 at 8/7c on ABC, and streaming on Hulu the next day. For more information on how to watch the CMA Fest TV Special, head here.
