Cody Jinks has established a reputation for being a man who does things differently. It seems particularly apt, then, that his latest song should be called ‘Changed the Game’.
Jinks performed the uptempo track at a recent show in Las Vegas, and fans are hoping that the reflective song will receive an official release in the coming weeks.
‘Changed the Game’ charts Jinks' story to this point, having forged a career as an outlaw and outsider, in the process accumulating a series of hits and accolades, despite lacking the backing of a big-name label.
The Texas singer-songwriter confirmed that he was hitting the studio to work on a new album towards the end of 2022, and it seems that new music could be on the way sooner rather than later.
Jinks also revealed over the weekend that his label, Late August Records, had teamed up with global distribution company, The Orchard, in order to aid his pursuit of guiding up-and-coming country artists as they progress through the industry.
In tandem with the announcement, Late August Records unveiled their first signing, Cleveland's Erin Viancourt. The rising star is set to release her debut album in May 2023.
