CMAT serenaded the packed-out crowd on the shores of Lisbon, Portugal with a flurry of feel-good anthems, as the spellbinding 2025 edition of NOS Alive came to a close.
Despite being the opening act on the main-stage, CMAT was one of the most buzzed-about sets of the weekend, with the Irish singer-songwriter currently enjoying a well-deserved explosion in popularity, courtesy of her viral hit, ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me’.
The uptempo, country-pop earworm oozes CMAT's signature charm and playfulness, but as she described while introducing the track, the idea behind ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me’ was born from online trolls hatefully commenting on her appearance.
The mood of the set, though, was one of celebration, freedom and jubilance, with CMAT showcasing her fantastic sense of humour in-between virtually every song on the setlist.
One particularly amusing moment arrived when CMAT was offered one of Lisbon's most prized exports - a pack of pastéis de nata. CMAT proceeded to turn this light-hearted gesture into a highly hilarious (and highly relatable) culinary interlude.
Although ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me’ is in the midst of a colossal moment on TikTok, CMAT showcased throughout her NOS Alive 2025 set that she is far from a one-hit-wonder. We've been fans of the ‘Stay For Something’ crooner since her stunning debut, If My Wife New I'd Be Dead, and judging by this set, we have every right to be excited for her third record, EURO-COUNTRY, which drops on August 29th.
Elsewhere during the final day of NOS Alive 2025, attendees were captivated by a histrionic performance from Muse, along with stellar sets from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Jet, Foster the People, Bright Eyes, Dead Poet Society and Future Islands.
It capped off a truly incredible three-day extravaganza in Lisbon, Portugal, with fans being treated to unforgettable performances from some of the most revered figures in modern music, including Noah Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo and Benson Boone, as well as getting the opportunity to witness an array of future stars. Following this, it's safe to say the excitement is sky-high for the 2026 instalment of NOS Alive.
