"When Stevie Nicks asks, you get on the plane," Brandi Carlile shared in a post on social media, announcing herself on the billing of one of Nicks' upcoming headlining dates.
On July 12, the two stars will grace the stage of British Summer Time Hyde Park, London's open-air concert series that takes place in Hyde Park every summer. Alongside Nicks and Carlile, artists Anna Calvi and Paris Paloma are also among the day's lineup.
Sharing her excitement to be back in the United Kingdom where her wife Catherine Shepherd is from, Carlile added in her post: "London, it’s been too long. I cannot wait to see your sunburns at @bsthydepark this summer. Who’s coming?… apart from my mother-in-law and all of Catherine’s friends?"
Carlile has been a longtime Nicks devotee, her own music having been inspired by much of the Fleetwood Mac songbook. Alongside her Highwomen project, Carlile's cover of the group's classic song, 'The Chain', was used in the 2019 Andrea Berloff-helmed film, The Kitchen.
More recently, Nicks and Carlile both guested on Dolly Parton‘s album Rockstar late last year, with the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman featured on the smoldering 'What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You' and 'The Story' artist appearing on the release's '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' cover.
Maybe we'll be treated to a duet from the star-powered pair during their upcoming BST Hyde Park appearances.
