When you think of Blake Shelton, you may not immediately think of Warner Music Nashville, but the country star and the major record label have been inseparable for the last two decades.

Like all good things, however, their record-setting partnership has just come to an end. It was recently announced that Shelton and Warner have amicably parted ways.

"I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal," Shelton shared of his journey in a statement. "Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some."

Over the last 20 years, the genre heavyweight has amassed 28 No. 1 singles, billions of streams, millions of albums sold and innumerable awards and honors along the way. All of it happened with Warner by his side.

While, today, that comes to an end, the artist had nothing but kind words for those who helped launch him to the star he is now. "It's impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family."

Warner Music Nashville echoed the same gratitude. "Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege," the label team added to the statement.

They continued, sharing their appreciation for Shelton, "Together, we've celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins. Blake's talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he's given us remind us of how fun this business of music can be. While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon."

It is not yet known what is next for Shelton, or who – if any label – will have the honor of representing the star in the future.
