Beyoncé’s country curveball, ‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’, has been garnering No. 1s left and right since its release earlier this month.
The walloping banger, which recently earned her a history-making Hot Country hit, has now topped the Billboard Hot 100.
‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’ debuted at No. 2 on the chart, and over the last week, it has staked its claim on the No. 1 spot, swiftly booting ‘Lovin’ On Me’ by Jack Harlow from the ranking.
This victory marks the icon’s ninth Hot 100 lead and her first since her 2022 Renaissance masterpiece ‘Break My Soul’.
According to the chart report, ‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’ received 29 million streams, 16.1 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 29,000 downloads from Feb. 16. to Feb. 22.
This week marks the second week the single sits atop the Digital Song Sales chart.
Her recent reign over the Hot Country Songs chart marked a historic moment as she became the first Black female artist to top such a list.
This isn’t the first country song that’s been seated on the No. 1 throne on the Hot 100. In fact, the genre seems to be in a crossover era as of late.
Last year saw several country hits gracing the top slot of the pop chart, including Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ ‘I Remember Everything’, Morgan Wallen’s ‘Last Night’, Jason Aldean’s ‘Try That in a Small Town’ and Oliver Anthony’s ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’.
