One of country music's fastest-rising new faces, Bailey Zimmerman, is ringing in the release of Religiously: The Album with a brand new music video for the project's title track.
Clocking in at just over four minutes, the 'Religiously' video depicts a country tale as old as time as Zimmerman chooses to chase his neon dreams over the girl who's been with him through it all.
Opening with Zimmerman walking off stage and greeting a sea of fans, we watch as the Illinois native looks back on his lost love and realizing that perhaps the spotlight wasn't worth it. As denoted in the song, all of the fame and accolades amount to nothing without the love of his life by his side.
We eventually find Zimmerman hopelessly sitting in a church pew, praying for some comfort and relief from the decisions he made.
The music video comes shortly after the release of Zimmerman's debut, full-length record last Friday (May 12), which we noted "might end up being one of the premier country releases of the year." In addition to the title track, which is believed to be his next single to country radio, the album also includes Zimmerman's double-Platinum, No. 1 hits 'Fall in Love' and 'Rock and A Hard Place.'
So far this year, Zimmerman has earned nominations at the 2023 CMT Music Awards for Breakthrough Male and Male Video of the Year, as well as nod at the 58th Annual ACM Awards for New Male Artist of the Year.
As the first impressions for Religiously continue to roll in, fans can find Zimmerman on tap for a slew of festival spots this summer, including Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, Country Thunder Saskatchewan, Tailgate N’ Tallboys Offroad, Carolina Country Music Fest, Windy City Smokeout Festival and more.
