Another new year ushered in another round of the quickly growing fan-favorite festival, Dead Ahead.
Welcoming special guests Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, Brittney Spencer and more to its 2025 roster, the Grateful Dead-centric affair made for one more long strange trip down to the beaches of Mexico where fans enjoyed a long weekend of good tunes and good times.
Already, we're eager for what the 2026 fest has in store; and after the past five days of nonstop grooves and jams, it's sure to be something even bigger.

In January 2023, the inaugural Dead Ahead Festival hosted icons and now-staple acts like Bob Weir, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Don Was & Jay Lane and more. Since then, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, Rick Mitarotonda and Margo Price have also been in attendance.
