Post Malone kicks off the inaugural instalment of Morgan Wallen's Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 tonight (Friday, May 16th), and with a star-studded line-up of performers across the weekend, we're hoping Post has plans to bring some special guests with him.
Post has established himself as a serial collaborator throughout his storied career, with the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker joining up with a dizzying array of artists from a host of genres.
As a result, the fact that the Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 roster incorporates acts from the rap, country, indie and EDM worlds makes Post the perfect headlining choice.
During his Big Ass Stadium Tour so far, Post has made a habit of bringing out his close friend and opener, Jelly Roll, for ‘Losers’, one of the many stand-outs from 2024's F-1Trillion.
Jelly isn't on the Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 line-up, but he doesn't have any shows lined up until he teams up with Post once again on Sunday, May 18th at Ford Field in Detroit.
As a result, we're wondering whether Jelly - who is also close buddies with the Sand in My Boots founder, Morgan Wallen - might be plotting a surprise link-up with Post this evening.
Sierra Ferrell, another opener on the Big Ass Stadium Tour, is performing with viral country band The Brudi Brothers tonight, so she definitely won't be coming out with Post.
Also performing on the same night as Post Malone is HARDY, who features on ‘Hide My Gun’ from F-1Trillion, and has linked up with Post on-stage in the past on a number of occasions. We wouldn't be surprised if these two join forces again tonight.
The big question on everyone's lips is will Morgan Wallen be coming out with Post Malone tonight? This is Wallen's festival, after all, and Post has a feature on the Sneedville megastar's new album, I'm the Problem, which dropped today (May 16th).
With Post Malone in Detroit on Sunday night and therefore unable to emerge during Morgan Wallen's headline set at Sand in My Boots Festival, we're predicting that Wallen will indeed surprise fans at Post's show tonight. We suspect they may perform both ‘I Had Some Help’ and their latest single, ‘I Ain't Comin‘ Back’.
ERNEST is also in town, and with the Nashville native being a key creative force for F-1Trillion and a guest vocalist on ‘Devil I've Been’, we're hoping Post Malone might bring out ERN as well. Chandler Walters, who is a member of Post's The Fools For You touring band, is signed to ERN's DeVille Records and is one of his best friends, so this would make for a sweet on-stage moment if the artists do combine.
Post also has a collaboration with 2 Chainz, who appears on the Sand in My Boots Festival bill, so we're wondering if they might treat the packed-out Gulf Shores crowd to a rare performance of their 2016 gem, ‘Money Made Me Do It’, this evening.
As for Post Malone's solo tracks, he tends to include a satisfying mix of his country-leaning material and his earlier, rap-leaning anthems, with the ‘Feeling Whitney’ crooner sure to reel off signature hits such as ‘Sunflower’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘Better Now’, ‘rockstar’, ‘White Iverson’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Pour Me a Drink’ and ‘Circles’.
In addition, you can most likely look forward to hearing some stellar deeper cuts as well, such as ‘Texas Tea’, ‘Dead at the Honky Tonk’, ‘Wrong Ones’ and ’Finer Things’.
Regardless of who Post Malone brings out and which songs he decides to add into his expansive setlist, you can rest assured it'll be a fantastic show, with Post cementing himself as one of the great entertainers of the modern era. Expect histrionics, sing-a-long earworms and heartfelt, wholesome speeches about being yourself.
