Norway-born, Louisiana-based singer-songwriter, Rainy Eyes, is headed across the pond later this year for a run of UK dates, proudly presented by JOY. Concerts and Holler Live.

Kicking off on August 6 at London's The Grace, the trio of shows will see the artist, born Irena Eide, criss-crossing around the UK.
From London, she'll take up residence at Manchester's Gulliver's on August 7 before wrapping up the short run on August 8 at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton.
Elsewhere this year, Rainy Eyes will be on hand at Sanctuary Music Fest in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua from March 28-30, as well as one-off shows in Alabama, Mississippi, Charlotte and Nashville's The 5 Spot.
The Americana/alternative country artist spent time embedded in the Bay Area folk scene in San Francisco early on in her career, where she spent time teaching children old-time folk songs, soaking up bluegrass and roots music and her nights at underground jazz clubs in the Tenderloin, befriending Pete Seeger, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott and Peter Rowan, while hosting camps and kids’ music classes.
Her latest album, Lonesome Highway, was released last year and includes reflections on the joys of motherhood, while simultaneously confronting a troubled relationship that had turned toxic.
This fall, Rainy Eyes will be releasing a collection of 70 original and traditional folk songs for children, entitled Little Folkies on Smithsonian Folkways.
