Bruce Springsteen is bringing his formidable arsenal of patriotic anthems and country-rock fire-starters to Washington, DC for the latest tour-stop as part of his blockbuster 2024 run.
‘The Boss’ will be taking the stage at Nationals Park - home of the Washington Nationals baseball team - on Saturday, September 7th, alongside his globally renowned E Street Band.
The New Jersey icon's concerts have become famous for being incredibly long, with Bruce Springsteen eschewing any support acts in favour of a sprawling, three or four hour set. This will be the case in Washington, DC, with no openers and the headline show expected to start at around 7:30pm - and Bruce is famously on-time. The gates to Nationals Park are due to open two hours prior, at 5:30pm.
As for which songs he'll be performing, on previous tours, Bruce Springsteen has often chopped and changed his setlist from show to show, offering each audience the chance to see an entirely unique show. Of late, the setlist has been a little more rigid, and he'll likely perform fan-favourites such as ‘Born to Run’, ‘Dancing in the Dark’, ‘Atlantic City’ and ‘Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out’ during the momentous show.
In the past, die-hard fans have been known to camp out and queue up for days to ensure they get the best spot in the pit. This may feel a tad excessive to many, and you'll still be able to soak up the electric atmosphere and enjoy the show even if you're not right at the front. If you've got a seat, there's no need to queue before the gate open.
Nationals Park has a strict bag policy in place, and no backpacks, laptop bags, duffel pages or purses will be allowed into the venue. Clear plastic bags no larger than 16" by 16" by 8" are permitted, as are small clutches (5" by 7" by three quarters of an inch), diaper bags (15" by 16" by 8") and ADA or medically necessary items.
While Bruce Springsteen's setlist is always somewhat enigmatic, one thing is certain - the Boss will deliver a captivating, high-energy performance that you'll remember for many years to come when he storms onto the stage in Washington, DC.
