Epitomising the genre-blurring that permeates Jessie Murph's 2025 album, Sex Hysteria, ‘Best Behavior’ features a blockbuster guest verse from Atlanta rap phenom, Lil Baby.
The track finds Murph expressing her desire to get retribution after seemingly being cheated on, with the Alabama native referencing a “robbery”. She underlines in no uncertain terms that she will get her own back, suggesting she will sleep with the woman who cheated with her man, just to teach her old flame a lesson.
‘Best Behavior’ oozes drama and fire, with the grandiose, expansive production accentuating the intensity of Jessie Murph's delivery. Lil Baby's verse is sleek and undulating, as we've come to expect from the ‘Drip Too Hard’ rapper, but Murph steals the show with her quick-fire, cascading opening lyrics. ‘Best Behavior’ is one of the most rap-leaning tracks on the project, again emphasising that the ‘Blue Strips’ hitmaker can shape-shift between whichever genre she wishes.
“I'm gon' be drinking like a sailor
I'll fuck your bitch in elеvators
I'll ride that line thin as a razor
You won't wanna see me latеr
Won't be on my best behavior
Tonight, I'm gonna decimate it
My spite, don't underestimate it”
After hinting at a betrayal in the introductory verse, Jessie Murph makes it clear throughout the hook that she won't hesitate to exact her revenge and make her ex pay for his crime.
“Devious, I'm fuckin' dangerous
You won't wanna see me later
Won't be on my best behavior
I won't be on my best behavior”
Jessie Murph stresses that she will be on the furthest thing from her “best behavior”, with much of the track finding Jessie Murph and Lil Baby detailing the raunchy specifics of what they have planned for the night ahead. Baby describes a vague sexual encounter, while Murph plots a much more “devious” evening that is designed to make her ex uncomfortable and regret ever crossing her.
“I won't be on my best behavior
I won't be on my best behavior

Still up, four in the morning, I'm right back
I'm finishin' a record off of Don despite that
Don't slow it down, I am running them right back
They bite back, from you I learned that
I woke up in a puddle of cold rage
And I've been damned by the bitch, it go both ways
And I got somethin' in my soul that my soul say
And I know so much that I just don't say
And this shit come off the lip, it's hot, and do you talk with me?
It is odd to me it ain't the robbery that bothered me
I saw plenty, you did plenty, I turned a cheek
But twice you do that shit, it dispatch a bitch back
Bitch mad off the dope, and I did that
One man down, I did that
I wouldn't've did that

I'm gon' be drinking like a sailor

You on your worst behavior
Keep it cool, I'ma sex you later
Breathin' like you need a respirator
Slow kissin' on your neck and navel
Get on your knees, come and get what you prayed for
I gotta make you cum, ain't that what you came for?
You gotta use your head, that's what your brain for
I gotta fuck you good, that's what I train for
You got drank in your cup, love in your mind
Sex in the mix, faith in your heart, drugs in the twine
Bad bitch, I had to put her in a timeout
I got deep pockets, you gon' have to climb out
I know you on a diet now, but can you eat it right now?
Your niggas got you in a bad deal, I'm tryna buy 'em out
I know you like your wine, but soon as they bring that liquor out
-
I'm gon' be drinking like a sailor
I'll fuck your bitch in elevators
I'll ride that line thin as a razor
You won't wanna see me later
Won't be on my best behavior
Tonight, I'm gonna decimate it
My spite, don't underestimate it
Devious, I'm fuckin' dangerous
You won't wanna see me later
Won't be on my best behavior
I won't be on my best behavior

I won't be on my best behavior
