Sierra Ferrell will be joining a slew of Nashville's talented artists to raise funds and awareness for abortion access at an upcoming benefit concert on Sept. 6 at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.
Holler's alt-country favorite will be joined by the likes of Nikki Lane, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Caroline Spence, Charlotte Sands, Fancy Hagood, Katie Pruitt and more throughout the night.
"Health care should be provided to people, in this case to women who choose to make their own decisions with their own bodies. Even women who actually need abortion for health reasons are being turned away, being forced to give birth to dead babies," Ferrell explains on Instagram. "If you don’t agree with this just go ahead and look the other way, keep your opinion and anger to yourself. It’s really that simple."
Presented by Noise For Now, a non-profit organization focused on health care, reproductive justice and women's rights advocacy, the event's proceeds will go towards supporting abortion fund Access Reproductive Care Southeast and CHOICES Center for Reproductive Health, which has clinic locations in Memphis, TN and Carbonsdale, IL.
Access Reproductive Care Southeast provides funding and logistical support to ensure southerners receive safe reproductive care, including abortion services. Likewise, CHOICES offers comprehensive reproductive health care to everyone, even if they cant afford the full cost of the services they need.
