"There’s Gonna Be a Billion People Saying It’s Over Produced:" Zach Bryan Readies an Acoustic Version of Upcoming Album

As the release of Zach Bryan's sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, nears, suddenly, one album has become two.

The 'Something in the Orange' hitmaker recently revealed that he has already prepared an acoustic version of the upcoming collection, which is set to drop on Friday (Jan. 9). He says the acoustic album will arrive three days later.

Come Monday (Jan. 11), the artist will apparently unleash pared-down renditions of all 25 of the new album's tracks, which includes long-teased offerings such as 'Santa Fe', 'Skin', 'Bad News' and 'Sundown Girls'.

In a post on his official Instagram page, Bryan shared the news, writing that he anticipates backlash from With Heaven On Top, so its follow-up release feels like a preemptive strike.

"I’m assuming this record is just like all the other ones and there’s gonna be a billion people saying it’s over produced and shitty," he captioned the post, continuing with, "So I sat down in a room by myself and recorded all the songs acoustically so I didn’t have to hear everyone whine about more stuff."

In the post, he added how the acoustic release will include its share of flaws, writing: "There’s mistakes and I didn’t redo any of them." But maybe that's how Bryan's fan prefer him: perfectly imperfect.

With Heaven On Top – and likely its accompanying version – came together over the last several months in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Bryan writing, recording and producing the 25-song collection. An extensive stadium tour, in support of the new album, has been confirmed and will see Bryan and his band through much of 2026.
