As the excitement continues to build ahead of his sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, Zach Bryan has taken to Instagram to give fans an update on the recording process.
The ’Something in the Orange’ hitmaker has revealed he's working hard on the project, explaining, “five more days recording ‘with Heaven on top’”, adding, “really hope everyone loves it and I’m so blessed to have my band and each and every one of you”.
There remains a lot of unanswered questions about the nature of this project. When Bryan first teased the title-track, ‘With Heaven On Top’, featuring New York artist, Grumpy, around a year ago, it was set to be included on an EP of the same name.
However, when the Oklahoma native officially announced that With Heaven On Top would be dropping on January 9th, 2026, it seemed it had been expanded into a full-blown album. Bryan has not 100% confirmed either way, but the fact that his 2026 tour is named after the project, and with With Heaven On Top being his first body of work since re-signing with Warner Records, it feels like it is a studio album.
There's no tracklist just yet, but Bryan has confirmed the project will include previously teased songs such as ‘In Dreams’, ‘Plastic Cigarette’ and ‘Rockaway’, as well as his recent singles, ‘Madeline’ with Gabriella Rose and ‘Bowery’ with Kings of Leon’.
This summer, with fans clamouring for the record, Bryan asked for patience, “I'm working on making it special so everyone just [f***ing] chill for a sec”. His loyal Zacholyte fanbase have grown accustomed to the country-folk singer-songwriter's mile-a-minute release schedule, with Bryan often flooding streaming platforms with new singles. Now, however, as he explained to Bruce Springsteen during their 2024 Rolling Stone conversation, he's taking a more deliberate approach.
We're sure it'll be worth the wait, and we're looking forward to seeing if - along with Gabriella Rose and Kings of Leon - there will be any other high-profile features on the project.
