Zach Bryan's brand new album, With Heaven On Top, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem making it a rare one-two for country music.
With Heaven On Top amasses a sizeable tally of 134,000 units during its opening week, enough to secure Bryan his second No. 1 on the all-genre chart, after his self-titled record surged to the peak in 2023. The first-week figures were bolstered by the arrival of an acoustic companion album three days after the original release.
The ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker's latest project has been met with widespread fanfare throughout the folk and country space, with Bryan continuing to consolidate his status as one of the most popular artists in today's landscape.
Wallen's ranking at No. 2 on the latest Billboard 200 chart (dated January 24th 2026) is also a tremendously impressive feat, given the fact that I'm the Problem dropped around eight months ago in May 2025. The Sneedville native's 37-song opus racks up 82,000 units this week, outpacing a host of more recent offerings, such as Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl and The Kid Laroi's Before I Forget.
It cements country music's dominance over the charts in recent years, and it undoubtedly feels apt that Bryan and Wallen are the ones leading the way on the Billboard 200.
The duo are largely responsible for the genre's resurgence in popularity in the 2020s, with the two artists bringing swathes of new listeners to country music through their infectious yet starkly different sounds. Bryan leans more towards the folk and Americana space, while Wallen often flirts with trap and indie-rock textures on his projects.
Either way, their positioning at the pinnacle of this prestigious all-genre ranking highlights the health of modern country music, with Wallen's 2023 album, One Thing At A Time, still slotting inside the Top Ten at No. 9 almost three years after its release.
