Beloved musician Willie Nelson has been announced as this year's keynote speaker for the SXSW Online conference, the virtual version of the world-famous music festival held in Austin, Texas annually.
The event would usually attract thousands to the Texan capital, but has to be held online for a second year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
“No individual has had the cultural impact on, or been more synonymous with the creative vibrancy of Austin than Willie Nelson, and we are incredibly honored to have him as a SXSW Online 2021 Keynote,” said Hugh Forrest, Chief Programming Officer.
The 'digital experience', taking place from March 16 - 20, includes keynotes, conference sessions, music festival showcases, film festival screenings, and world-class networking opportunities.
Other speakers and panelists include Matthew McConaughey, a conversation between LL Cool J and Queen Latifah, and a panel dedicated to the Genius: Aretha Franklin docuseries.
You can register for SXSW conferences, keynotes, performances and screenings online via the SXSW website now.
Willie Nelson's upcoming album, That's Life, will be released on February 26.
