Could Justin Bieber be making another foray into country music this year?
Bailey Zimmerman is certainly hoping so, with the ‘Religiously’ hitmaker taking to the comments on a new Instagram post to call for Bieber to venture into Music City in 2025.
Justin Bieber, who has been teasing a return to releasing music of late, has shared a new Carousel on Instagram, alongside the caption, “Dm me if u wanna make music together”.
With Bieber remaining one of the biggest acts on the planet, an array of fellow artists have flooded the comments in the hopes of securing a coveted collaboration. Hilariously, Drake quipped, “I DM’d but no reply”, while Big Sean instructed, “Check Dm’s”.
Country up-and-comer Christian Hayes joked, “Here I am - ready to make music n shiz”, while Bieber's good friend Jaden also responded, “Check your DMs gang”.
Bailey Zimmerman, meanwhile, didn't refer to any possible collaboration with Justin Bieber, but the Illinois native did express his longing for The Bieb to make some more country music. Zimmerman commented, “WE NEED COUNTRY JB‼️‼️”.
Of course, should Bailey Zimmerman's wishes come true, this wouldn't be Justin Bieber's first move into country music, with the ‘What Do You Mean?’ singer-songwriter collaborating with Dan + Shay for their five-times Platinum smash, ‘10,000 Hours’, in 2019. The sweet, piano-driven ballad remains one of the most popular country songs of all time, and currently sits at over 1.13 billion streams on Spotify alone.
Then, the following year, Justin Bieber decided to dip his toes back into the muddy water of Tennessee, linking up with Florida Georgia Line on his ‘Yummy’ remix in February 2020.
With enchanting, unmistakable vocals and an ear for an infectious melody, we have no doubt that Justin Bieber could make a ground-breaking, chart-topping country project.
And given Bailey Zimmerman's penchant genre-blurring, as he showcased on his BigXthaPlug collaboration last week, ‘All The Way’, we'll be hoping that Bieber finds room on his tracklist for a Zimmerman duet if he does explore a country sound once again.
