Post Malone and Luke Combs have unveiled the cinematic music video for their blockbuster new collaboration, ‘Guy For That’, the latest single from Posty's debut country album, F-1Trillion.
The duo were spotted filming the visuals earlier in the month, with Post Malone and Luke Combs surprising Music City tourists when they emerged on the Broadway strip to capture the video, which features the two artists dancing atop a platform in front of much-loved venues such as Nashville Underground and Whiskey River Saloon.
It kicks off with a hilarious twist, as Post Malone and Luke Combs walk innocently into a couple of port-a-potties, before they're promptly transported via truck to Nashville, with both artists unexpectedly emerging in the middle of a packed downtown crowd. Posty sums it up with an amusing one-liner once they've returned to their starting point, picking up his cigarette and quipping, “Craziest piss of my life”.
Endearingly, as is the case with the song itself, Posty and Luke's friendship and chemistry shines throughout the visuals, which capture the playful, light-hearted ambience of the track. Post Malone has become synonymous with his willingness to forge his own path when it comes to both music and fashion, and the iconic ‘Dolly Parton Fan Club’ cap he dons for the ‘Guy For That’ video undoubtedly epitomises this.
Much like Post Malone's previous two country singles, ‘I Had Some Help’ and ‘Pour Me a Drink’, ‘Guy For That’ is a break-up song at heart, but Posty once again sugarcoats the track with his addictive, reverb-drenched vocals and an infectious, uptempo instrumental, which combine to give the song the feel of a jubilant, dance-ready anthem.
The arrival of the new visuals ensures the momentum remains sky-high ahead of the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker's forthcoming album, F-1Trillion, which is due to be released on August 16th.
The long-teased project is expected to feature a dizzying array of guest stars, with the likes of HARDY, Chris Stapleton, Sierra Ferrell and more set to join Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton and Luke Combs on the sprawling 18-song tracklist. In addition, F-1Trillion will include Post Malone's intricate, vulnerable ode to his daughter, ‘Yours’, which heartwarmingly serves as the first song he's penned about her.
