WATCH: Post Malone and Jelly Roll Pay Tribute to Zach Top with Playful ‘I Never Lie’ Cover in New Orleans

While spending time backstage together at the Bud Light Super Bowl Kick-Off Party in New Orleans ahead of the momentous NFL match-up, Post Malone and Jelly Roll offered a playful and endearing - if brief - cover of Zach Top's viral 2024 single, ‘I Never Lie’.

‘I Never Lie’ has blossomed into one of the break-out hits of the past twelve months, with the infectious, tongue-in-cheek establishing the neo-traditional-leaning Zach Top as one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in the country music landscape.

It's not the first time Post Malone has shown love to Zach Top, with the ‘I Had Some Help’ hitmaker bringing out Top during his California Wild Horses 2024 show in December 2024 to cover Vince Gill's iconic track, ‘Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away’.

Similarly, earlier in 2024, Post Malone joined his The Fools For You friend, band-member and ‘I Had Some Help’ co-writer Chandler Walters during his ‘Walters Western Wednesday’ set in Flora-Bama to perform an impromptu rendition of ‘I Never Live’.

This latest cover of ‘I Never Lie’ with Jelly Roll is a mere snippet compared to that full take, but it nonetheless captures the light-hearted, charming spirit that pervades Zach Top's smash.

After teaming up to croon part of the ‘I Never Lie’ hook together, Post Malone and Jelly Roll can't help but laugh, before Post reaches for his ubiquitous cigarette and lighter.

During the actual Bud Light Super Bowl Kick Off Party, Jelly Roll linked up with Post Malone for an enchanting performance of their F-1Trillion stand-out, ‘Losers’. The duo are set to spend much of the summer together, with Jelly recently admitting he was planning on taking a break from touring, before Post rang him up and asked him to be the opener for his blockbuster 2025 Big Ass Stadium run of shows.

Yesterday, ahead of the Super Bowl LIX - during which the underdogs, the Philadelphia Eagles, triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs - Post Malone took the stage for a spellbinding, hit-filled set as part of the official Super Bowl 2025 Tailgate Party.
