One of Holler's 10 Artists You Need To Know back in August, Cory Cross set our hearts a-racin' and our toes a-tappin' with his debut long player, There's More, on its release and now the album's closing title track gets a suitably dreamy video to go with it.
It seems like Dua Lipa's not the only one who's been kicking up dust across the dancefloors of the Texas honky tonks lately. Filmed at the Historic Pearl Saloon in the Fort Worth Stockyards and starring the professional Western dance troupe the Fort Worth Wranglers cutting some serious rug as Cory Cross, along with his band The Burden, treat them to some of the finest honky tonk country around.
"The title track from our debut album is the most transparent and vulnerable songwriting I’ve ever attempted, and we wanted to capture that vulnerability by stripping things down and doing an acoustic performance in the middle of a Honkytonk dance floor for the music video," explains Cross about the video. "The two-steppers twirling around us give an image of feeling lonesome even when surrounded by people having the time of their lives."
