Tucker Wetmore was asked to share his dream collaboration in a ‘shot it or say it’-style interview with Page Six earlier this week.
In usual Tucker fashion, everything that followed was all of the reasons why he's country music’s most endearing cowboy crush.
“You might want to follow her,” Page Six replied as he announced that his ‘DMs are open’, showing them Sabrina Carpenter’s profile. Giggling like a teenager, he hit that big blue follow button and re-announced that Carpenter would be his dream collaboration.
After confessing his crush…we mean, dream collab…he was then tasked with sending her a DM to invite her to work together.
“Either way, I’m shooting a shot,” he said, glancing at his whiskey glasses and weighing up the lesser of the two evils.
“What do I say? Hey Sabrina, I’m drunk at noon on a Thursday. What are you doing?” A DM that, honestly, we’d reply to if it dropped in our inbox from Mr Wetmore. After much deliberation, nerves, more giggles and a small hype crew, Wetmore opted for a smooth intro.
“Trying to think of something clever but just wanted to keep it short and sweet.” Dropping in as one of her 47 million followers, we’re hoping Wetmore’s whiskey-smooth DM slide will stand out and kickstart that dream collaboration.
The ‘Espresso’ singer has dipped her toe into the country music scene of late with her song 'Slim Pickins’, while the Queen of country music herself, Dolly Parton, featured on a remix of ‘Please Please Please’ earlier this year. Maybe Wetmore could be an enticing enough collaboration to encourage Miss Carpenter to spend more time over on the country side?
