It's already unanimously known that Taylor Swift's Eras tour is one of the most spectacular - if not the most spectacular - concerts on the planet, but Taylor gave her third tour-stop in Wembley an added sheen of uniqueness when she brought out her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight-end, Travis Kelce, as one of her dancers.
Kelce emerged to a rapturous reception from the packed-out London crowd, with the NFL star dressed in a tuxedo and top hat as part of the three-person troupe that come out for ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’, one of the many stand-outs from Taylor Swift's widely celebrated 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department.
It was a jovial addition to Taylor Swift's hit-filled set, which lasts over three hours and spans her entire discography in a show unlike any other, featuring highlights from Lover, Fearless, Midnights, Evermore, Folklore, Reputation and plenty more.
Taylor Swift never misses an opportunity for an easter egg, and it certainly seems somewhat pointed that Travis Kelce arrived on-stage after Taylor had performed ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’, which is rumoured to be about her ex, Matty Healy.
Healy was allegedly Taylor Swift's partner prior to to Travis Kelce, meaning the timing of Kelce's appearance on-stage could be a nod to their love story following the break-up.
Later in the set, Taylor Swift changed the ‘Karma’ lyric from “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me”, with Travis Kelce dancing endearingly along on the sidelines.
Elsewhere during her third Wembley performance this weekend, Taylor Swift debuted her brand new collaboration with Gracie Abrams, ‘us.’, with Abrams coming out as a surprise guest during the much-loved ‘Surprise Songs’ section of Taylor's setlist.
Now, the ‘Anti-Hero’ megastar is gearing up for three shows at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, before Taylor Swift takes her unrivalled catalogue of anthems to Amsterdam, Zürich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna, before returning to London's Wembley Stadium for a whopping five-date run in August.
