Tim McGraw has emphasised how much he's looking forward to his Las Vegas residency, which kicks off today (Thursday, December 4th) at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace.

McGraw was drafted in to perform in place of the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton, who had to withdraw from her residency due to health issues. We're wishing Dolly a speedy recovery, and while we can't wait to see the ‘9 to 5’ icon stepping back on-stage soon, there's no doubt that McGraw is a worthy replacement.

Attendees will be singing along to undeniable country anthems such as ‘Where the Green Grass Grows’, ‘Humble and Kind’, ‘Don't Take the Girl’ and ‘Live Like You Were Dying’.

McGraw will have ticket-holders punching the air and raising up their drinks one minute, and then bawling their eyes out the next, as he showcases the versatility of his catalogue. Few artists can dial it back for a heart-rending ballad and then turn it up for a galvanising battle-cry as easily and sincerely as McGraw can.

Taking to socials ahead of the first show in his residency, the Louisiana legend has stressed how keen he is to storm onto The Colosseum stage tonight, “Fired up to be back in Vegas this weekend and next!! See you @caesarspalace Dec 4, 6, 12, & 13”.

McGraw remains one of the most highly revered figures in today's country landscape, with the ‘I Like It, I Love It’ crooner having amassed a wealth of chart-toppers since his self-titled debut album in 1993. He's remained true to his sound, while still embracing opportunities to experiment with other genres and styles, epitomised by his Platinum-certified 2004 collaboration with Nelly, ‘Over and Over’ and his fiery, rock-infused 2024 link-up with Post Malone, ‘Wrong Ones’.

Given the fact that McGraw possesses a staggering 25 No. 1s on the Billboard Hot Country Chart, we're hoping he'll keep the setlist varied from night to night, and gives audience-members the chance to enjoy some deep cuts from over the years.

We'll also be keeping our fingers crossed that, after suffering a number of injuries and undergoing surgeries during the past twelve months or so, McGraw uses this residency to ease back into his live shows, ahead of hopefully unveiling at 2026 tour...
