Thomas Rhett is Finally Releasing a Song with His Good Buddy, Jordan Davis, Called ‘Ain't a Bad Life’

Thomas Rhett is continuing to keep his fanbase well-fed, with the Georgia native adding another trio of songs to his lauded 2024 album, About a Woman, this Friday (July 18th).

As part of this latest drop, the ‘Somethin’ Bout a Woman’ hitmaker will team up with his close friend, Jordan Davis, for the rose-tinted ode to down-home living, ‘Ain't a Bad Life’.

This momentous link-up has been a long time coming, with TR and JD having been friends for a number of years now, with fans clamouring for the duo to join forces on a track. Thankfully, ‘Ain't a Bad Life’ will be arriving alongside two other songs this week, with the visuals for the track seemingly recorded during an Arkansas hunting trip.

Taking to Instagram, Thomas Rhett has revealed, “I told y’all we were adding new music to my album “About A Woman” all summer long! My second set of new tunes is officially yours this Friday. “About A Woman (& A Good Ol’ Boy)” will give you 3 brand new tracks including “Ain’t a Bad Life” (ft. @jordandavisofficial )”.

About A Woman (& A Good Ol’ Boy) comes after About A Woman (From A Small Town), which dropped in May and featured a playful duet with Tucker Wetmore, ‘Small Town Girls’. The original iteration of About A Woman was released in August 2024.

The timing of this latest deluxe version of About A Woman, which was sweetly penned by Thomas Rhett in honour of his wife, Lauren, feels pertinent, given the fact that the ‘Look What God Gave Her’ singer-songwriter is headlining Fenway Park this weekend. Rhett is joined by Teddy Swims, Tucker Wetmore and The Castellows.

Sadly, Jordan Davis will be performing in Wyoming this weekend, and therefore won't be in Boston to deliver the live debut of ‘Ain't a Bad Life’ with Thomas Rhett at Fenway Park. Nonetheless, we're hoping Rhett might still treat fans to a solo version, as well as combining with Teddy Swims for ‘Somethin’ Bout a Woman’ and Tucker Wetmore for ‘Small Town Girls’ during the highly anticipated show.
