On Friday (January 24th, 2025), Kane Brown dropped his eagerly anticipated new album, The High Road, featuring a slew of stand-out tracks, including the stormy ‘Haunted’ with Jelly Roll and the rose-tinted ‘Do Us Apart’ with his wife, Katelyn Brown.

Numerous fans have been championing the long-awaited release as one of the best country projects of the year so far - but it seems we might have cause for further celebration soon.

In his new interview with Holler, Kane Brown has hinted that he has more music on the way, with the title of his fourth studio album, The High Road, inspired by an unreleased song.

When discussing the meaning behind the name, as well as acknowledging the notion of ‘taking the high road’ and not listening to outside critics, the ‘Heaven’ hitmaker revealed that there was supposed to be a track with the same title included on the project.

The ‘Fiddle in the Band’ crooner explained, “We had a song that was going to go on there that we're still working on. We couldn't get it through the deadline, so we just used the title instead. So it's kind of teasing another song that we have on hold”.

When asked if he's planning on releasing this track, ‘The High Road’, as part of a deluxe version of the record, Kane Brown responded, “Not a deluxe, there'll be a whole different album”.

If this song is being readied for a separate body of work, this album would surely still be linked in some way to The High Road, given the fact that they share the same name.

If Kane Brown is already plotting a follow-up project, rather than tagging the track onto The High Road as a deluxe, then it seems the genre-blending artist might be gearing up to drop a double-album, with a similar format to Cody Johnson's Leather. We'll have to wait and see what exactly the ‘Bury Me in Georgia’ singer-songwriter has up his sleeve, but given how refreshingly eclectic The High Road is, we're hoping Brown does indeed have more musical treats for us on the horizon.

In addition, Brown has reflected on how his infectious, Marshmello country-EDM anthem, ‘Miles On It’, ended up becoming the thematic cornerstone of The High Road, “We were traveling a lot, you know, going to Australia and Europe, and with ‘Miles On It’ being a big song on the album, it all just fit together for The High Road”.

Elsewhere during his discussion with Holler, the country chart-topper touched on the heartwarming moment he called up his Nana, to tell her he'd penned a song about his Grandpa's struggle with Alzheimer's, as well as delving into the meaning behind an array of highlights from The High Road, including ‘Haunted’, ‘Do Us Apart’ and more.
