It was just a year ago when a trio of golden-haired sisters found their way into our crosshairs with their haunting cover of Levon Helm's 'Hurricane' and their lively 'No. 7 Road'.
Now, a few months later, The Castellows have gone on to plot their debut headlining tour, found their way onto a long list of festival bills and landed on nearly every "Country Artist to Watch" list from London to Los Angeles.
As if they couldn't knock off any other things on their bucket list in 2024, the girls – Ellie, Powell and Lily – will be making their coveted Grand Ole Opry debut on August 20. A rite of passage for any and every country artist, the Georgia girls will be joining a long list of icons and country music royalty who have participated in one of the genre's longest running traditions.
"We cannot believe this is happening," the country darlings shared on socials. "Thank you so much to the Opry for having us, it’s such an honor!"
The neo-traditional country outfit boast a traditional yet modern sound that has proven to permeate the mainstream, with mystical three-part harmonies cutting to the core of everything they do. This was showcased on their debut EP earlier this year, A Little Goes A Long Way, which featured a six-pack taster to introduce the girls to a new and ravenous country music audience.
Already garnering a nomination at the 2024 CMT Awards, the burgeoning ground will be hitting the road this fall with country group greats Little Big Town and Sugarland on their Take Me Home Tour.
Also on tap to perform at the Grand Ole Opry alongside The Castellows on August 20 will be Wyatt Flores, Vince Gill, Little Big Town, The Oak Ridge Boys, Shelby Lynne and Ashley Ray.
