Tenille Townes and Lindsay Ell are amongst the newly announced Juno Awards nominees.

The 50th annual JUNO Awards are set to take place on May 16th - with the nominees now being revealed.

Tenille Townes’ ‘The Lemonade Stand’ is amongst the nominations for Country Album of the Year, alongside Lindsay Ell’s ‘heart theory’ - both are looking for their first Juno Award win.

They’re up against Dallas Smith’s ‘Timeless’ record, though Smith has won in this category once before for his album ‘Lifted’.

Also in that category in Mackenzie Porter’s ‘Drinkin’ Songs: The Collection’ and Jade Eagleson’s self titled album; they too search for their first Juno Award.

Meanwhile, a few familiar faces line up alongside each other in the Single of the Year category - Canadian country singer Brett Kissel and ‘Nashville’ star Lennon Stella receive nominations.

Luke Combs’ album ‘What You See Ain’t Always What You Get’ is nominated alongside Taylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’ record in the International Album of the Year category.
