With a slew of US artists announcing tours across the other side of the Atlantic in recent weeks, UK and European country music fans were this week given another reason to celebrate, with Tenille Townes confirming she'd be heading across The Pond in August.

The ‘Somebody's Daughter’ singer-songwriter will embark on her Train Track Tour in August, with Townes set to perform a series of intimate shows across the UK, before taking her arsenal of evocative tracks to Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The run of performances will be in support of Tenille Townes’ recently released Train Track Worktapes, which she dropped in April. The EP has quickly become a favourite among fans, with her eye-catching collaboration with Bryan Adams, ‘The Thing That Wrecks You’, serving as the unquestionable centrepiece of the project.

Townes’ Train Track Tour will kick off at the UK's Long Road Festival on August 25, with the up-and-coming artist then performing in Glasgow, Manchester and London across the rest of the month.

Tenille Townes has a long-standing affinity with her UK and European fans, as she underlined as part of the tour announcement, “You know the second I leave your side of the ocean, I’m already planning how to get back to you guys and I’m so excited for this run of shows”.

Fans will no doubt be keenly awaiting the chance to hear Townes perform a number of tracks from her new EP, along with classic staples of her repertoire, such as ‘White Horse’ and ‘Where You Are’.
