Rodney Atkins returns with his infectious, uptempo new single, ‘Helluvit’, which finds the country chart-topper expressing gratitude for the love he shares with his wife, Rose Falcon.
Across a bright, wonderfully twangy instrumental, Atkins regales the listener with the light-hearted tale of how he found “a little bit of heaven in the middle of the helluvit”.
Endearingly, Rodney Atkins penned the stellar track alongside Rose, as well as Daniel Ethridge and Seth Mosley, with ’Helluvit’ capturing the ‘If You're Going Through Hell’ hitmaker's penchant for both a killer, earworm hook and witty, Nashvillian lyricism.
It's a feel-good anthem that showcases Atkins' commanding, signature vocals, and ensures the anticipation is sky-high ahead of his new studio album, which is due in 2026.
It will the country icon's first full-length record in the best part of seven years, with Rodney Atkins dropping his celebrated Caught Up in the Country project back in May 2019.
‘Helluvit’ is accompanied by a fun, joyful music video, which heartwarmingly features the muse behind the song, Rose, as well as cameos from the couple's sons, Scout and Ryder.
It follows the much-loved ’Marry Me Again’, which arrived in January, and a revamped version of his Platinum-certified 2006 hit, ‘Watching You 2.0’, alongside his son, Elijah.
‘Helluvit’ epitomises Atkins’ willingness to be vulnerable and honest with fans, drawing on his real-life love-story and highlighting how you can always find moments of beauty and comforting silver linings when there aren't blue skies and sunshine overhead.
Rodney Atkins’ new single, ‘Helluvit’, is out now via Curb Records.
