As fans woke up Friday morning (July 11) they were greeted with the exciting news that Riley Green has released a surprise EP.

Dubbed the Midtown Sessions, the five tracks showcase his undeniable love of ‘90s country, an acoustic guitar and good old-fashioned storytelling.

Green put out his most recent body of work, Don't Mind If I Do, on his birthday last September and has seen unequivocal success since, particularly due to his collaborations with Ella Langley on both the record's title track and their breakout duet, ‘you look like you love me’.

Now, we’ve got a few acoustic versions of his other fan favourites–'Change My Mind,' 'Worst Way' and 'Jesus Saves', thanks to today's new offering. Green delivers impeccable stripped back renditions of these tracks, showing off his talent and love for a "back to basics approach."

Elsewhere on the five-piece project, the Alabama native serves up a cover of Tim McGraw’s ‘Cowboy In Me’, bringing his distinct vocals to the beloved '90s number.

All of this leads us though to a brand new track: 'Bartender In Destin.'

It’s beachy, it’s smooth… it’s Riley Green, effortlessly solidifying what the whole EP is about.

Green heads back out on his Damn Country Music Tour on July 24, wrapping up this stint of dates before heading out the UK and Europe in September.
