“Never Let Em Know Your Next Move...”: Riley Green Shocks Fans By Shaving Off His Moustache

Sometimes, country music fans can get a little carried away and blow things way out of proportion. This, however, is not one of those times, as we're all in a state of shock after seeing that Riley Green has switched up his signature, moustachioed look.

After ruining Valentine's Day for many and dropping the steamy, viral ‘Worst Way’ video in mid-February, in turn cementing his status as the genre's primary heartthrob, Riley Green has now left his adoring fanbase having to adjust to a very different style.

In a new Instagram Story, the Alabama native has shared a clean-shaven selfie from his car, with Riley Green pre-empting the inevitable furore with the tongue-in-cheek caption, “Never let em know your next move...”, adding amusingly “#shegone”.

It brings to mind the moment Morgan Wallen chose to shave off his iconic mullet, which stunned the country music world back in the summer of 2023. Fans are now taking to socials to share how startled they are by Riley Green's new appearance.

One fan hilariously commented, “This is a recession indicator”, while another echoed these sentiments, “Please tell me I’ve slept through an entire year and this is an April fools”.

As we mourn the loss of one of modern country music's staples, we're wondering if Riley Green might drop a new version of ‘Damn Good Day to Leave’ addressed to his moustache. Let's just hope he doesn't start thinking, ‘That's A Mistake’.
